Love is the Law. It's how things work. Love is the Light and it underlies all...Everything was made by Love and Love is what we are becoming.
That said, we live in a world of choice. We are always either participating in Giving (higher nature, Love, selflessness), or taking (lower nature, fear, selfishness...astral illusion). Not just in our actions but also in our thoughts and emotions - our states of being.
And we evolve from lower to higher nature over many, many lifetimes.
I have been a meditator 17 years. It has been profoundly life changing for me. I started with guided journeys on audio-tape, but today I am part of a very dedicated meditation community.
Here are my best tips on how to meditate!
Do some yoga first - stretch a few minutes.
Choose a nice space. A quiet space. Tidy the space up first.

We ALL need to Meditate. Seriously. It gives us much needed perspective: we get space from our minds that think they know everything. We begin to see the world thru calm, and that can be profound. Wisdom bubbles forth - Insight, and Intuition, and begins to direct us much more clearly...a deeper intelligence than the thinking mind.
We become less reactive, softer.
You'll fight less with your partner, and understand them more.
