We Are Meant To Live From Intuition, Not Intellect
What is intuition? Are we ALL meant to be intuitive? Or do just some people have it? And how does intuition differ from intellect? Do we let go of intellect to become intuitive or do they both 'blend' somehow?
Today people will say, "I am intuitive", and they will put their sign out and offer intuitive readings. Which we might call being psychic. And I think some even call that "psychism",
But I believe that intuition is really natural to all of us - a way of living that is intuitive. In fact, I believe we are all meant to live intuitively.
In other words, I believe we are meant to live in timelessness, without the limitation of intellect.
I have been a meditator 17 years. It has been profoundly life changing for me. I started with guided journeys on audio-tape, but today I am part of a very dedicated meditation community.
Here are my best tips on how to meditate!
Do some yoga first - stretch a few minutes.
Choose a nice space. A quiet space. Tidy the space up first.
Someone once said to me, "Wealth isn't having more, it's needing less".
But this isn't about having nothing. We live in a material world, having nothing is unreasonable.
But you don't want to have a lot of stuff, you want to have the right stuff.
The thing is, 'stuff' can easily clutter up our life, keeping us 'busy', and getting between ourselves and others.
'Stuff' can make us miss what matters.
We go for stuff for many reasons: buying stuff is satisfying. (But briefly and not deeply). Plus, stuff is safe. Stuff won't break your heart or reject you, stuff won't cheat on you or leave you.
But stuff requires a lot of energy: you have to take care of, store, clean, maintain, and move your stuff. Which all takes time.
Nowadays, I look at almost every purchase with: "How much energy will this take to store/clean/maintain/move, etc?" I don't just look at what it will give me - which is what desire does, but also what it cost me - in the long term.
We really want to spend our time caring for people, not stuff.
