"Worrying only attracts to you what you're worried about"
Do you worry? If so, you're not alone, as many people worry. And don't think this has anything to do with YOU. Worry is a natural result of being sensitive being in the world as it is today - often what we're feeling and getting drawn into isn't even ours, it's energy coming at us from the world in all it's pain and confusion.
Worry is not your natural state. And like everything else that is unnatural to us, it can completely be changed. But doing so will take diligent effort - you are really training your mind, and your body, since they are one. See this as mind-training - or a path of self-healing/self-transformation, because that's what it is.
With that in mind, here's a few simple solutions that can really help:
Today Chromebooks are the most widely used computer in education.
My top tip: If you're not a "power user", buy a Chromebook. In short: they are inexpensive, fast, and will do everything most people want to do on a computer.
You can actually get a new one that looks like a Macbook Air, is almost as fast, but costs 1/3 the price of a Macbook Air. Yes really. They are cloud-based computing, and many say that is the future.
My top tips on buying a Chromebook:
1) get 4 Gb of ram
2) get an IPS screen (unless you don't mind washed out colours), and
3) pay for the extended warranty (often a good idea with technology)
Transparency: Its been a long journey to realizing that anxiety and depression are something I experience, and they will probably not go away completely any day soon. Partly this is because these emotions are lifestyle driven - I have to actually learn to live better, and practice what I learn. Like the note I made recently in my journal:
"How Fast Can You Master Your Lessons?"
So here's 28 things I've learned that help me have better moods:
"We will ultimately transition from owning animals, to being stewards of the animal kingdom. We will become true caretakers of the earth. And we will do this with great wisdom."
It is very clear that our relationship to animals needs to evolve. And I’m not just talking about CAFO’s (conventional animal feed operations).
I had been single for almost a decade, and I was feeling pretty frustrated.
So, partway into that I did what I usually do when feeling stuck: I asked myself, "What the f--k am I learning here??!"
And I began learning from dating coaches online. I did that for a good two years. And the main thing I learned was this: dating coaches are mostly teaching pick-up - how to get laid - which is a far cry from how to prepare yourself for a great partner, attract a great partner, or be happy in that partnership. So I kept learning, observing, and trying stuff...
A wonderful introduction to the most helpful thing I use:
the Shambhala Meditation-Healing Tools.
I offer Energy Healings with my Shambhala Healing Tools. These treatments are equally effective remotely, since all life is connected through the Etheric Field.

Ten years ago, I had just moved a small mountain town. It was winter, and I was really suffering. I was sooo cold.
In order to save money, my roommates had not turned on the heat yet. So I focused on the problem and eventually found my solution: I had to stop eating sugar. Sugar it turns out, is the most cooling food there is, and I had been addicted to it for a long time. I did this, one step at a time, and a month later I was experiencing the best health of my life - and I was a LOT warmer.
Moral of the story: diet can make a huge difference to body temperature! And hot weather is a great time to detoxify!
1. Diet really matters. Eating less inflammatory foods is key. Hint; the least inflammatory foods are cooked non-starchy veggies, and healthy oils olive oil and coconut oil. Clearly the most inflammatory foods are sugar, gluten, dairy and a few others. For many people grains in general are inflammatory.
2. Too much tech-exposure in a day can leave you buzzy. And then you don't sleep well. (electro-smog?). Balance that with #3 below:
3. Physical activity during the day is essential. Bodies weren't made to sit on the bus, then at work, then in front of the TV. I walk, personally, every day.
4. Stresses also messes up your sleep (as well as everything else). Reduce stress by: walking more, breathing more (meditation aka structured breathing), yoga (aka stretching, you don't have to get fancy), and herbal teas like rooibos, licorice, nettle, mint, or whatever YOUR body likes.
And if you haven't heard: "Sleep Mastery" (getting enough high quality sleep) is one of the main keys of high performers.
It's not just about enough sleep... it's about QUALITY SLEEP. And as your digestion works better, as your life works better (your day, your routine, your relationships), your sleep will work better.
I've seen both. Today technicians are in abundance, and healers are sorely needed.
So what is the difference? A technician, in my definition, is someone who isn't really going beyond their training. They stick to the protocols they were shown, don't generally have an intuitive sense of the body (because they weren't taught to appreciate it's wisdom or ways), and may even buy into fear-based views like, 'The brain doesn't make new brain cells after a certain age'. They work from their intellect, which is useful, but isn't the full range of their abilities - because we all have intuition.
In contrast, healers have an intuitive sense of the body, how it works, and they may even do awareness practices, like meditation. Healers also *trust* their intuition and work to develop this with things like meditation, shamanic states or even plant medicines. Plus they don't fear the natural world, or things like death or child-birth. They have faith in life, and they know that they don't *know* anything. They realize that whatever learnings they have are just a mental map, and a map is never the territory.
"Sound and Color are the fastest ways to raise consciousness".
I heard this a while back, and I believe it is true. And especially as my sensitivity continued to grow, I began to notice color's effects on us. It's really about balancing our chakric energies - a chakra can be under-energized or over-energized. These are the 7 energy centers that run down the center of your body. Each one has a corresponding gland - your endocrine system.
So how do we use color to heal from things like digestive issues? or anxiety? or depression? or even fatigue?
If you're reading this, you probably just got trained, spent a lot of money, and now you're realizing that you need to do some marketing, and you really don't want to spend a lot of money at it. (this post is maybe best for those in a holistic service business).
So what is marketing anyway? Marketing is really just communication. It is the art and science of communicating your services in such a way that the right people take you up on your offer, and pay you.
Brainwave Optimization is one of the most advanced therapies on the planet. It is especially helpful for recovery from stroke, trauma, PTSD, concussions, addictions, insomnia and compulsions.
But the most commonly reported benefit is that after the 3rd session, people are saying, "I haven't slept this well in years."
Brainwave Optimization was invented about 15 years ago by a computer scientist, Lee Gerdes, after he was attacked by 3 teenagers, one with a baseball bat.
As a guy, porn leaves you exhausted and alone. Which is not at all attractive to what you really want: a partner. Porn also destroys your other goals, since being exhausted gets in the way of achieving every goal you have. You can't build a business when you are wiped out. You creativity is greatly diminished. You won't perform nearly as well at work, and even depression follows porn use for many guys, since porn use causes us to ejaculate more often than is natural or healthy. It is well known that ejaculating less correlates with greater success in life.
Porn is also horrible to women, creating a sub-culture of perversion, of sex without love, that many women become victims too.
Porn is clearly totally against everything we really want.
Clearly, porn is very bad news. The good news is: kicking your porn habit can be one of the best things you ever did. And - it's free. Quit porn and watch your creativity be enhanced, by mojo get a boost (the women are going to notice), and your depression lift!
I see three stages that we go on as we make the journey of nutritional healing:
Stage 1 - "The Health Nut".
Stage 2 - "The Health Coach".
Stage 3 - "The Nutritional Doctor-Healer".
Stage 1 - The Health Nut
This is the average healthy eater who has some nutritional know-how. They watch their sugar intake, may not eat gluten, and might do almond milk instead of dairy. Basic nutritional know how. Maybe they take a multi-vitamin or some vitamin D. At this level, you might also be balancing your macro-nutrients in your meals (watching your protein, fat, and carb intake.) You might aim to have a salad everyday. At this level, you also tend to think that the diet that works great for you, will also work great for everyone else too - which how we get fanatical vegans, or fanatical meat-eaters - you think everyone should eat as you do. So at this level, we know some things, but we still believe some myths too.
At Stage 1 - you might have the salad pictured above, and say, "I'm having a spinach salad, that's healthy. Spinach has iron and strawberries are rich in anti-oxidants."
I battled candida for a long time. It would go away, then come back. So I eventually got creative and asked myself, "What the frick is going on here?? What can I do to end this?" Here's some of my answers...
1. Make Love, Not War
War is never wise. So instead of just attacking the candida with garlic, oregano oil or what not...instead focus on loving your body in all ways. So - do you need Vitamin D? Is your bedroom too dark? Have you been feeling down a lot? Everything that weakens you, makes you more susceptible to candida over-growth. Making war on Candida is very different than aiming to nourish and love your body and create health. Do everything you can to heal yourself, and start with what's obvious or what you're drawn to do. As you support your body, your body will handle the candida. You have an immune system, that's it's job.
