They are A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle, Power vs Force - David Hawkins, Integrative Nutrition - Joshua Rosenthal, and anything by David Deida.
For a while I read so much that my body suffered. But what did come out of that is that I expanded my mind in numerous ways, enriched my vocab, and basically did brain-yoga pretty much daily. Brain-yoga is what I call it when a book is hard to understand, but you push through anyway, and it leaves you going, "WOW". Brain yoga, I've learned, is very good for us. So without further ado, here are some of the books that rocked my world:
1. Eckhart Tolle - Practicing the Power of Now. This might just be the best book on meditation I have ever seen. It's powerful, and even more, it is an 'energized book', meaning you are receiving a transmission as you read - there is literally power behind it. So you literally experience the peace and space that he is pointing to. (His book A New Earth, and his Videos on his site are also profound).
2. Power vs Force - David Hawkins - this book blew my mind in many ways, and really gave me a new view on a number of things in the spiritual world.. Core to this book is the "Calibrated Levels of Consciousness".
If you're an enlightenment seeker, or a serious spiritual practitioner or yogi, this book will deliver some powerful truths. This book is not 'all true' - since Truth is not linear, but there is still much helpful truth here, Like Tolle's books, this book is 'transmitted' too. The author is a powerful being, a realized mystic, as well as a psychologist.
3. Integrative Nutrition - Joshua Rosenthal - an amazing intro to nutrition and healthy living that is far sensible than much of what's out there. It gives an overview of common diets, their pros and cons, and also discusses the other important aspects of healthy living: your career, relationships, and spiritual practice. Joshua is a highly sensitive healer who leads the biggest nutrition school in the world where they teach Health Coaching.
4. Anything by David Deida. Deida writes about relationships and sacred sexuality. His work is challenging and powerful and goes way the beyond the 'mars vs venus' books. I really enjoyed The Way of Superior Man, The Enlightened Sex Manual, and Intimate Communion. He also wrote a book just for women called Dear Lover. His writing is passionate, poetic, and deep, and he also is a practicing mystic with a deep inner realization.
