Brainwave Optimization is one of the most advanced therapies on the planet. It is especially helpful for recovery from stroke, trauma, PTSD, concussions, addictions, insomnia and compulsions.

First let's look back just 150 years, to 1870. What was life like then?
Well, for starters, there was no anaesthetic. Just imagine a trip to the dentist. But we did have vodka! And there was no contraception either. I have actually read about people using pig intestines. So back then, sex often led to babies, not a good situation if you were poor and had a high sex drive... And check out transportation: if you want to travel to the next town over, it might take 2 weeks... and your horse and carriage had no heat, no radio, was noisy...and you might get half way there and realize you have run out of water. Yikes.
And that's just 100 years ago. If you go back further, it was even worse, with increasing superstition and paranoia the further back you do.
Which brings me to say this:
Now is actually the best time to be alive in history.
Technology is awesome...to a point. We all know that runaway use of technology can easily mess up our sleep and cortisol levels. But, good news, there's a number of really simple things we can do...
1. Put your Wifi router on a timer. Off at 11p, on at 7am. Decreases elecro-smog in the house, and deters you from staying up past 11 watching Netflix. If you usually go to bed at midnight, you could even set the timer for midnight...and then in a few days, back it off to 1145p...and so on, slowly training yourself to get to get sleep earlier. Don't doubt it: light is a stimulant just like sugar and carbs. Keep it under control so you get your beauty sleep, and have energy the next day for what matters.
The Fabulous - a very well done, beautiful, guided health app. A woman's voice gets you drinking more water, eating a healthy breakfast, and even doing short meditations. Very impressive and points to what smartphones will become: health coaches that talk to you!
You Food - a cool food and exercise tracking app where you take pictures of your food, then upload them for other members of the community to see. Star your favourite meals or the ones of others that you want to try. Set goals (like 'Whole 30', or 'lose 10 lbs', or 'do 25 pushups a day'), and be cheered on by those with the same goal or who already achieved it.
